The first chapter of the creation myth begins with a description of how everything in the world has always been mixed together. In the process of imposing rules here, all things in the universe are created. But if you think about it, the birth of genres is also strangely similar. When people who like a certain pattern gather together, the tendency becomes clear, and when people who like this pattern gather together, a wave forms. When the scale of the wave reaches a certain level, we label it a genre. In that sense, Agwi and Suyo’s [Moth] seems to want to create a different wave by combining South American music and R&B with Korean elements.
[Moth] experimentally develops songs that combine bossa nova with R&B style vocals. The production stands out as it deviates from the bossa nova format we are familiar with, but maintains its unique groove. Demand’s sensuous top line plays on top of the unique sound created by Agui, creating a wonderful vibe. It is said that the album was compiled with lyrics based on the theme of ‘affection’. When I become able to see the lyrics in the future, I think I will be able to read in more detail the harmony between South America and Korea that Agwi and Sudu created.
