COMMON GROUND (Common Ground) - Welcome to Our Groove
There’s a saying that if something someone does seems easy, that person is a master in that field, right? The reason craftsmen seem to do it easily is because it is their daily routine. The essence of daily life is repetition. And the brain creates shortcuts so that we don’t have to expend as much energy on repetitive activities. So, it’s like the shortcut that artisans have in their brains is a 10-lane highway. And there is a band that has been doing nothing but funk for 21 years. This is Common Ground.
“Welcome to Our Groove” is music that doesn’t need many words to introduce it. All performances can be heard without any obstruction, like flowing water. And I’m excited. Like the lyrics “Welcome to the Groove” that are repeated over and over again, it’s music that you just have to surrender to and enjoy. The fact that music seems easy is probably proof of the countless hours that Common Ground has devoted to music.
